Why fundraise for All Hands and Hearts?

The nature of our mission requires us to quickly deploy to locations where we often have zero infrastructure. Fundraising is vital to opening and sustaining our programs and making sure that there is no cost to individuals to volunteer. For more than a decade, we have carried out disaster relief programs around the world, helping to rebuild disaster-affected communities. We would not have been able to make this scale of positive impact without our passionate fundraisers.

Top three tips for great fundraising!

You become an ambassador when you reach out to your friends, family, and social network. This helps us invest in these communities for the long term. Here are tried-and-true tips for successful fundraising:

1
Make the first donation! Get the ball rolling and show your commitment.
2
Add a personal touch! Speak to, email, and message your friends, colleagues, and family personally.
3
Say thank you! We always endeavour to thank all those who donate. A personal thank you, or show of gratitude is a way to give back to those who give.

Getting started with fundraising

Fundraising is a personal expression of your passion for our organization so there is no right way to do it – it all depends on you! Here are just a few ideas that our fundraisers have found success in doing.

Host an Event

No idea is too big or too small to make an impact! Get your children, friends, and communities involved in fundraising by setting up a lemonade stand or organizing a bake sale. Through your community, we can help build disaster-affected communities in a more resilient way. The more creative, the better!

Run, walk, or ride to raise money

Running, walking, or riding with a purpose always seems to make the miles go faster. Why not pull on a purple t-shirt or set up a fundraising page for your next race and let every step help us maintain our momentum in rebuilding disaster-resilient communities.

Donate for your birthday

To make a difference, you don’t have to be perfect or rich, you just have to care. This year, why not ask your friends and family to donate to All Hands and Hearts for your birthday. We believe it is the best gift you could ever receive.
