On Friday, February 2, wildfires in central Chile broke out across the Valparaiso and Vina del Mar regions, burning almost 40,000 acres of land. So far, reports have detailed 112 casualties, over 500 injured people, hundreds missing and at least 3,000 homes destroyed. These wildfires are the worst disaster Chile has experienced since 2010. We send our deepest condolences to those affected.
