Principal and Florida Advisory Leader, Ernst & Young LLP
Mr Shaklik is a Partner for Ernst & Young, LLP. He brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership and has provided services for Fortune 500 clients in hospitality and retail, cruise line, food and beverage, construction and manufacturing, and telecommunications. Mr Shaklik also serves as the Market Leader for Florida and Puerto Rico, personally overseeing a portfolio of $100 million in Advisory services. Under his leadership, the Market has achieved the largest revenue growth in the Southeast Region. In addition, he has held various client and internal leadership roles as part of EY’s National Practices which includes overseeing financial reporting, board governance, strategic transformation, risk and compliance management, and legal matters.
Prior to joining EY, Mr Shaklik held various leadership positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and Gartner, Inc. In parallel, he served 20 years as an Officer in the United States Navy, retiring in 2011. His time in the Navy afforded him the opportunity to deploy around the world supporting national security missions. Mr Shaklik has previously served on the board of the Virginia chapter of Child Help USA, an organization focused on transforming the manner in which care is delivered to abused children. He was a founding board member of the Northern Virginia Children Science Center, an organization and interactive museum where children, families and school groups can explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts. In both circumstances, he contributed with fundraising as well as board governance and strategic direction.
Mr Shaklik received his Bachelor of Science in Political Studies from the University of Utah and his Masters from The University of Redlands. He lives in Tampa, Florida with his two kids.
