David is responsible for leading the Disaster Assessment Response Team and launching and overseeing response programs globally.
David began his tenure with All Hands and Hearts as a volunteer in 2008, and spent the following two years working in the field in the U.S., Haiti, and Indonesia. Since then, he has held numerous roles within the organization, in addition to working in emergency, disaster, and risk management for a number of nonprofits, the Federal Government, and consulting firms.
Prior to entering his role as Director of International Response, David was a Senior Consultant for Crisis Management at Deloitte & Touche, where he provided advisory services to NGO, private sector and government clients to help prepare for, respond to, and recover from crisis and emergencies. David has also worked with various NGOs responding to global emergencies, including Ebola in West Africa, and Cholera in post-earthquake Haiti. David’s experience spans more than 25 disasters and public health emergencies. David is also a reservist with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Disaster Medical System.
David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont and graduated from Northeastern University with a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management.
