Diane P. Banks
Board Member, Associate Professor of Biological Sciences, Bronx Community College
Dr. Diane P. Banks is Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at Bronx Community College in New York City, where she also serves as Program Director for the Medical Laboratory Technician Program. She earned a Ph.D. in Urban Education for Math, Science and Technology from the Graduate Center within the City University of New York (CUNY); a master’s in Epidemiology from New York Medical College in Valhalla; and a Bachelor of Science at The College of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx, NY. Her research specializes in STEM education with a focus on faculty preparation and learned helplessness; microbiology with a focus in soil and water microbiome; and epidemiology with a focus in infectious disease transmission, to name a few. She has served on two programs with the All Hands All Hearts team prior to joining its Board of Directors.
