Our Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) has arrived in Laurel County, Kentucky, and is actively engaging with local officials and community members to meet the urgent needs of those impacted. The team is sharing reports of profound devastating, with entire neighborhoods leveled and critical infrastructure damaged.
A powerful storm system has swept across the central U.S., triggering deadly tornadoes in Missouri and Kentucky. Laurel County, Kentucky, was hit especially hard, with at least 17 fatalities reported in London and surrounding areas. The tornado, preliminarily rated EF3, caused widespread destruction. This marks the third major disaster declaration in the state this year. All Hands and Hearts is mobilizing a Disaster Assistance Response Team to Kentucky. Our team will focus on immediate relief efforts in the affected communities.
