Lola, a Category 4 super cyclone, is gaining strength as it continues to track towards Vanuatu in the Solomon Islands. Sustained winds of 222 km/hr (138 mph) with gusts up to 300 km/hr (186 mph) paired with heavy rains are expected to cause significant damage. All Hands and Hearts will continue to track and monitor this event.
Tropical Cyclone Lola has formed in the South Pacific Ocean and is heading towards the Solomon Islands, specifically Vanuatu and New Caledonia. In the next 72 hours, the cyclone is expected to strengthen and bring heavy rain, storm surge and stronger winds, which have already reached sustained speed at 140 km/hr. All Hands and Hearts will continue to monitor the cyclone and its impacts.
