Bangladesh Cyclone Relief

June 2023 – July 2023

After Cyclone Mocha hit Bangladesh in May 2023, All Hands and Hearts partnered with the local youth-led volunteer organization Save Sylhet to support the immediate needs of those impacted.

Our work with Save Sylhet focused on supporting homeowners impacted by the cyclone. Households were identified and prioritized based on who occupied the homes, such as children, mothers, widows and single women. Sixty of these homes received Corrugated Galvanized Iron (CGI) sheets that helped repair damaged siding and roofs. We also provided another 60 homes with emergency food supplies that contained items like rice, lentils, soap, milk powder, sanitary pads, baby food, diapers, saline and basic medicines.

We supported 120 households and over 700 people in Bangladesh through our relief efforts with Save Sylhet.
