Disaster Profile

On May 15, 2018, five tornados ranging from EF0 to EF2 blasted through the New York State and Connecticut State border.  With tornado-force winds maxing out at dangerous speeds of 110mph, homes were easily stripped of their bricks and roofs simply peeled away as the twister ripped through the local communities.

Our Work

The Orange County emergency management provided a list of 45 homeowners affected in the Town of Newburgh. It was decided that our work would focus on cutting up downed trees to manageable pieces, and clearing pathways for homeowners to return to their homes.

Our highly motivated and specialized team were able to remove downed or damaged trees in just seven days and support this community through our rapid response efforts.
