On July 26, historic rainfalls in St. Louis, Missouri caused life-threatening and widespread flash flooding across the city. The National Weather Service reported the city shattered its 1915 daily rainfall record which measured at 6.95 inches and recorded a new record of 8.06 inches in seven hours. The impact included submerged cars, downed power lines, closed roads, and one reported casualty.
