Tropical Cyclone Kompasu

Kompasu, locally known as “Maring,” is moving westward in the South China Sea. Currently maximum sustained winds are 63 mph and it is expected to strengthen as it moves westward. Located ust north of the Philippines, this storm could have impacts in the Cagayan region of the Philippines as well as China and Vietnam. Border closures in this region remain a significant barrier to entry but we will continue to monitor for potential impacts.
