Texas Flooding

On Saturday, May 4, the Houston area experienced severe flooding due to heavy rainfall, leading to hundreds of rescues and one reported fatality. Safety crews rescued more than 400 people from homes, rooftops and roads engulfed in water. High waters have persisted into the beginning of the week, closing schools and signaling lengthy cleanups for the hardest hit communities.
