Tropical Storm Nicole

Tropical Storm Nicole has passed directly over Marsh Harbour but our team on Abaco remains safe and well. Strong winds and heavy rains caused storm surges, flooding the Marsh Harbour area and across northern Abaco. Our team in Florida has finished final preparations for the incoming storm and everyone is safe on base.

Tropical Storm Nicole is moving toward Great Abaco Island in the northwestern Bahamas and is forecast to increase in strength to a Category 1 hurricane before making landfall. All Hands and Hearts is monitoring the storm.

Our team in The Bahamas is currently sheltering at Every Child Counts school and the Florida team is preparing for the incoming storm. Hurricane warnings and watches are in effect and the storm’s exact path is unknown. Flooding and heavy rain are likely in Florida, Georgia, and The Bahamas.

Subtropical storm Nicole escalated to a Tropical Storm and a hurricane warning has been issued for portions of the east coast of Florida. All Hands and Hearts continues to monitor the storm as it moves through the Atlantic.

Subtropical Storm Nicole has a westward projected path that crosses over The Bahamas and into eastern Florida beginning Thursday morning. All Hands and Hearts is tracking the storm’s behavior.
