Tropical Storm Nicholas

Nicholas is drifting northwest into western Louisiana with flash flooding remaining as a possibility. Fortunately, the storm has not interrupted the relief work of either of our teams working in Louisiana. We continue to track the storm.

Heavy rainfall will impact areas from the upper coast of Texas, across Louisiana, southern Mississippi and regions even further east through Thursday. Tropical storm conditions are expected to continue along the Louisiana coast into this afternoon. Our teams plan to continue providing Ida relief, weather permitting. We will continue to track Nicholas as it moves east.

Tropical Storm Nicholas is making its way to the Texas Coast. Heavy rainfall will impact portions of Texas and Louisiana coasts through the middle of the week. Nicholas is forecast to approach the middle Texas coast as a strong tropical storm by this evening, and could be near hurricane intensity at landfall. We will continue to track its movements along the coast.
